Neon Frog Studios are situated in the stunning coastal town of Bude, on the northern tip of Cornwall. Surrounded by green rolling hills and a dramatic coastline.
Owned and operated by engineer producer Jon Matthews, we offer both recording and mixing, catering to projects of any size, from full bands to solo musicians.
Recording and Mixing revolves around a 96 input, 96 output hybrid Pro Tools HD system, featuring Digidesign 192 I/O’s, a 24 motorised fader Control 24 console, outboard hardware compressors, eq’s, reverbs and quite a selection of microphones & guitar amps.
The live room has a 32 send, 16 return channel link to 32 microphone channels of the Pro Tools system, and both rooms feature video links between them for simultaneous full band recording.
The studio in Bude is an inclusive space for you to connect, collaborate and create the music you want with the chance to meet other like-minded creatives. We encourage everyone to join us, no matter age, ability, heath condition, impairment, skill or ability.
We secured premises September 2023 and have since been constructing to soundproof, make accessible and as user friendly as possible. We have a studio that is available to people of all ages and abilities. We aim to make a more inclusive music community in the local area, bringing together people that would not normally work together.
We offer sessions that we hope will enrich the lives of members of the local community and encourage people to “have a go”. This ranges from trying different musical instruments, singing, or even production equipment. We are doing this with the implementation of an access ramp, hearing loops and user friendly equipment such as theremins & eye tracking instruments.
